Mount Union MLK Day volunteers
ALLIANCE — More than 300 students, faculty, staff and community members volunteered their time at area non-profit organizations as part of the University of Mount Union’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday.
The event, which began in 2010, is coordinated by Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and places volunteers across non-profit locations in the community. This year, 14 organizations benefitted from Mount Union volunteer support, including the Alliance Neighborhood Center, Stark County Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Beech Creek Botanical Garden and several others.
